Tapestry has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s BESA Awards: Outstanding Early Years Resource or Service, and Outstanding SEND Resource or Service, the latter as a joint entry alongside Cherry Garden School for the Cherry Garden Branch Maps.
The BESA Awards celebrate the very best in education technology and resources from across the sector, with entries judged by a panel of experts against a highly competitive field. Being named among the shortlist in not one but two categories reflects the breadth of Tapestry’s impact, from supporting everyday practice in early years settings to specialist work supporting SEND provision.
Tapestry has a long-standing relationship with Cherry Garden School, bridged by Stephen Kilgour, Tapestry’s SEND Advisor and Outreach Teacher and former Deputy Head at Cherry Garden. That relationship was central to the Branch Maps entry, and to being recognised alongside such a strong shortlist in the SEND category.
While the awards ultimately went to other worthy winners, being shortlisted alongside such a strong lineup of organisations is something the whole Tapestry team is proud of, and a reflection of the continued effort that goes into supporting educators, children and families every day.
