FAQs

What data will be synced from our school’s management information system?

All relevant children’s and parents’/carers’ profile data will be securely synced. This includes relationships between children and their parents/carers, full names, dates of birth, year groups, SEN status, and more. Automatic linking ensures that you won’t have to manually connect each child with their parents or carers.

Does the integration support multiple schools under one trust?

Yes. Each school can connect its MIS to Tapestry via Wonde, but the integration must be set up and managed individually for each school.

Is MIS integration available to both primary schools and early years settings using Tapestry?

Absolutely. All you need is a Wonde account to connect it to your Tapestry account.

How can I connect my Wonde account with Tapestry?

Wonde admins can give permission for data sharing with Tapestry from their Wonde portal by using this link: https://school.wonde.com/login

The Tapestry and Wonde integration will first need to be purchased. Then you can start importing users via Wonde.

How much does the Wonde integration cost?

Because the integration is powered by Wonde rather than being a built-in Tapestry feature, there is a small annual fee of £60 + VAT to enable and maintain the secure connection. This ensures your children’s and parents’/carers’ data is kept up to date and fully secure.

Does Tapestry integrate with Arbor?

Yes. Wonde enables automatic syncing of children’s and parents’/carers’ information from Arbor directly into Tapestry.

Does Tapestry integrate with Bromcom?

Yes. Schools using Bromcom can securely sync children’s and parents’/carers’ data into Tapestry via Wonde.

Does Tapestry integrate with SIMS?

Yes. Wonde allows SIMS users to automatically keep children’s and parents’/carers’ information up to date in Tapestry.

Does Tapestry integrate with other MIS systems?

You can check what other MIS systems are available on the Wonde website.

The Department for Education SEND Assessment Guidance

SEND assessment guidance and resources have been released by the Department for Education (DfE) to support those working in the EYFS. The guidance has been written in collaboration with the well-respected Dingley’s Promise and aims to support ‘a strengths based approach to assessing children’s needs’.

We have created a CSV that can be uploaded to Tapestry via our Bespoke Frameworks feature, so that you can easily integrate the SEND assessment guidance in your Tapestry account:

Move

The MOVE programme is an activity-based framework that enables disabled young people to gain independent sitting, standing, walking and transferring skills. If you use the programme, you can also enable a branch map that can be used with Cherry Garden.

An example Reflection

The Early Years manager at Tapestry Primary School, Gabriel, has noticed issues with storing objects for loose parts play. He adds his thoughts to Tapestry as a reflection, and outlines what he hopes to achieve.

Using Bespoke Frameworks

Build your own curriculum using a CSV file, ready to import into Tapestry. You can create your own areas, aspects, statements and scales, organise them into a structure that suits your setting, and assess against them in observations.

Using Flags

Flags allow you to label an observation with specific points of reference, such as the EYFS areas, celebrations, or custom flags you have created. Once applied, these flags can be viewed and filtered for a specific child, or the whole setting, helping you quickly locate relevant observations.

Using the Areas of Concern Screen
