The free document ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Supporting Children Learning English as an Additional Language’ has been written by Sejal Payne to help childminders, nurseries and schools to develop appropriate support for children learning English as an additional language.

Sejal is an independent education consultant and trainer, specialising in raising the achievement of children from Black and minoritised backgrounds, including those with English as an Additional Language. She has developed parenting programmes, is an accredited trainer for language development programmes such as ‘Talking Partners’, and has authored numerous blogs and articles in her specialism.  She firmly believes in embedding strong foundations and now works in partnership with numerous early years platforms to support early years colleagues, advocating for children and families from minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
