As educators we should always be looking for ways to progress our professional learning so that we can best support all children, families, and colleagues. One way of doing this is to explore varied and numerous educational scholars, especially those whose names we may have not heard before.
Many of us are introduced to a few prominent figures in the educational world during our studies, and they can often be the only theorists we are taught about.
By exploring educational scholars who are new to us, and who see through different lenses, we are encouraged to question and reflect on our own assumptions. This supports us to deepen our understanding of children’s diverse lived experiences.
