The Best SEND Assessment Framework to Help Every Child Thrive
Cherry Garden – a child-centred solution
Each child’s development is unique. At Tapestry we believe assessment should celebrate this, which is why we’ve partnered with Cherry Garden School to bring their specialist SEND assessment framework exclusively to Tapestry.
Founded in many years of specialist teaching experience and enriched by the Routes for Learning approach, this framework is uniquely designed for children working at developmental levels typically expected between ages 0–5, with an additional bridging framework for levels expected in Year 1.
Celebrate progress like never before with Cherry Garden Branch Maps
Welcome flexible monitoring! Cherry Garden’s Branch Maps make progress visible for children with SEND, and the families who support them.
See the Orchard grow
Celebrate lateral and individual progress through the interactive orchard, which grows with the child.
Leaves appear and petals deepen in colour to express small steps in development. Click on them to explore the learning that has happened.

Involve parents and carers
Share each child’s orchard with their family, supporting engagement in their child’s learning. Connect home and school, and help parents, carers and children celebrate learning together.
