Educational Scholars Volume 1

In Educational Scholars Volume 1, the focus is on the work of Black scholars in education, beginning in the late 1800s with W.E.B. Du Bois and continuing through to the present day with Kimberlé Crenshaw.

A common thread emerges – the recognition and understanding that educators must listen to, learn from and learn about children and their families. There is an emphasis on providing spaces that celebrate children’s numerous intersectionalities so that educators can fully support children’s learning and development.
