Who we are, why you might want to work for us, and what we're looking for.
We continue to grow, both in profits and ideas for how to help our customers, so we’d like to invest some of those profits on recruiting another member to our nine strong developer team.
We have a single, moderately complex, interesting, worthwhile product that helps schools, nurseries and childminders look after their children, monitor their progress, and share information with parents.
Although we are willing to consider those with less experience (as long as they can prove their enthusiasm with e.g. personal coded projects/hobbies) in this case we are primarily looking for a developer with deep and proven expertise in complex web applications.
To the right person we will expect to offer an extremely market competitive salary, along with the benefits outlined below. We have a grown up approach to work and life – once developers join, they stay. If our sort of environment would fit your needs, interests and skills, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
About the organisation
The FSF Ltd. is an education technology company, which has developed a product, Tapestry, used daily by hundreds of thousands of parents, teachers and pre-school practitioners.
The whole firm (developers, product support, the founders…) are in one beautiful building in the centre of Lewes, which is near Brighton on the South Coast of the UK.

Although we prefer our team to live close enough to be able to work most of their time from our office (see the close collaborative working environment described below), we have been fully remote during the Coronavirus outbreak and would be happy to consider you working remotely after the outbreak is controlled, perhaps spending a week in Lewes every few months to ensure you really get to know everyone.
We tend to do most things in-house and that means the role will involve interacting a lot with the rest of the firm and with our customers. So we put a premium on people being nice.
Typically, more than one person will work on any particular feature, and will take it from initial idea to supporting it with our customers, but we don’t follow any rigid methodologies and use our judgement about what is the right thing to do in each situation.
• A family run, profitable, small business
• Lovely customers
• A homely office
• A caring team
• 31 days leave per year, plus bank holidays
• Flexible family, orientated working conditions
