Tapestry transforms early years experience

Vibrant and interactive, it's a simple and effective way to track learning and share special moments with parents.

An easy-to-use online learning journal, Tapestry helps educators and parents to record, track and celebrate children's progress in early years education.

Nurseries, pre-schools and reception classes are fun-packed and busy. From messy play and first steps to learning phonics and new games, there's so much for children to do, learn and take in.

Tapestry enhances this special time, helping teachers and practitioners to capture children's experiences as well as monitor development and learning. This unique journal is shared online with parents, who are able to see special moments and view their child's progress.

Text, images and videos can be easily uploaded via PC, tablet or our mobile app - anywhere there's an online connection. Every entry helps to create a complete story of a child's time at nursery, pre-school or school.

Tapestry covers the Early Years Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 groups and is designed to simplify and improve recording within these curricula. Information can be filtered and displayed in different ways, and assessments and statements can be made for each entry.

This means there is no need for using ring binders or scrapbooks as learning records, or time consuming written notes and glued-in photos. When children leave the setting you can provide parents with a permanent version of their child's journal as a keepsake, either as a hard copy or on CD.

Used by hundreds of nurseries, pre-schools and schools all over the country, each setting receives a complete, secure application with its own web address, as well as full viewing and editing controls.

Our clients have been weaving, and we have been listening...

Tapestry has the ability for me to reply to my son's key workers comments and be part of these experiences sometimes relating to things he does at home.  Tapestry consolidates what I know about my son and gives me surprises too e.g his counting abilities .  I understand to have this facility and to use it to its full potential takes up the staffs precious time but I am very grateful Millies uses it and I always get excited when I see a Tapestry  notification come into my inbox.  Thank you so much Millies for offering such a unique, safe and personal service to help update me on my sons development and learning.

In my opinion Tapestry is a wonderful link between the fun, nurturing learning environment my son receives in Millies and home.  Tapestry provides me with an insight into what he does when I am not with him, his capabilities and reassures me that he is in the right place!  I am able to see video clips, photographs and written reports on how my son is enjoying himself and developing.  Rory and I often look at pictures together talking about what he is doing at nursery this creates a great link between home and nursery for both myself and my son.

One parent was so relieved that after leaving her daughter upset at school, by the time she got home she had an email link waiting for her, and could see her playing and laughing outside in the mud kitchen.
